Organizing

In order to enjoy greater job security, greater economic security and more control over the work place we find it vital to be on the informative end constantly. This includes both recruiting non-union ironworkers as well as non-union contractors. Through the success of organizing both employers and employees are garunteed certain advantages that most non-union workforces neglect. Every member is encouraged to assist in the organizing effort.

 

Organizer: Martin Padilla         Martin Padilla has been a union member for 36 years. From 1982 to 2005 Martin owned and managed his own Steel Erection Company in which he employed union apprentices and journeymen throughout the entirety of his career. His insight as a contractor has been a significant tool in recruiting contractors and ironworkers.
